Grey and Yellow

One of my favorite color combinations right now is grey and yellow. (I know I'm not alone here!) But then add a dash of red or aqua...and I love it even more!

Here are a couple cards that I created using this lovely color combo...

All products can be found in the December Hip Kit. The 'Enjoy the Journey' sentiment is one of the Pebbles Seen & Noted journaling cards found in the December Embellishment Add-On Kit. I just cut it down to fit my card. This journaling card pad is great for cards and layouts...and would be perfect for Project Life too. Truly one of my favorite products in the December Embellishment Kit.
The wood veneer typwriters from Studio Calico are adorable. Will never tire of using those fabulous little wood embellishments on projects!
The 'Dream Big' sentiment on this card is from the Studio Calico Darling Dear 'Temple' paper. Love the bold, graphic print. I embellished it with a couple of the Studio Calico Darling Dear opaque gems found the December Embellishment Kit.
Happy cardmaking...

Notes, Quotes & Things to Remember

Hi friends!
Happy Friday to You! (Oh how I love Fridays! It may very well be my favorite day of the week.)

I had shared a sneak peek of this fun little project that I was working on last week. Such a quick, simple project...a happy project.

I covered a basic composition book with various happy bits from the December Hip Kit.
The only items that can't be found in the kit are the black dymo tape (that I used for the 'things to' sentiment), the red chevron washi from My Mind's Eye and the day of the week washi tape from the KI Memories Flashback collection (both are part of my abundant stash of washi!)
Even if I don't use it, it looks really cute sitting on my desk. :)
Wishing you a happy & creative weekend ahead!

A Beautiful Life

Hi friends!
Welcome to Wednesday.
Here's another layout I created with product from the super happy December Hip Kit...

Life certainly is a crazy ride...lots of ups and downs. Seems like so many people I know have family or friends that are dealing with the 'downs' lately. This layout helps me remember to celebrate the beautiful, joyful moments life brings.
That fun arrow (a piece from the Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go diecuts) is pointing at my hubby and our friend Dave. They were taking a dip in the Pacific when we were in Kona in October. LOVE that amazing, clear blue water...
Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine.

I Thank My Lucky Stars

Hi friends!
Popping in to share a layout I created with the colorful December 2012 Hip Kit. One of my favorite pieces of patterned paper in this kit is the Darling Dear 'Temple' paper from Studio Calico. I used the 'Lucky Stars' and the '4' squares to create a bold, graphic style title on this layout. These two squares help balance out my 5x5 Instagram print...

I left the barcode strip on this 12x12 paper because I like how it grounds the layout (plus the red and white polka dots are so cute!) So many papers these days have such fun barcode strips...totally loving this!
Here's a close-up of part of my page title. Isn't that dimensional camera sticker from Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go so stinkin' adorable?! I have a serious crush on Amy Tangerine.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you're having a very creative day.

December Hip Kit

Hi there friends!
Happy Thursday to you!

I've kicked off a creative 2013 by spending some time in my studio playing with the super fun December Hip Kit. Just look at this kit that is bursting with happy colors, whimsical prints and darling embellishments...

Plus the Embellishment Add-On Kit...which is full of even more joy! Pebbles, Studio Calico, Amy Tangerine...yum, yum, yum. (LOVE the Pebbles Phrase Cards in this add-on kit...)
Here's a little sneak peek of what I've been up to in my studio...
Can't wait to share all the projects I've been creating with these fabulous kits!

Holiday Hip Kit Projects

Hi friends!
Today I'm sharing the layouts I created with the November Hip Kit and Embellishment Add-On Kit.
(I promise I won't drag these holiday projects on too long...but since I haven't been around Bloggerland for FAR too long, I want to at least give my holiday layouts their opportunity in the limelight.)

You can find more info about the Hip Kit Club and the Hip Kits I used to create these layouts here.
Thanks for popping by!

Hello 2013

Hi friends!
Happy, happy, happy twenty thirteen to you!
I do hope that the new year is off to a great start for each and every one of you.

I can hardly believe that the Christmas season is behind us...
I always have mixed emotions this time of year. I love the fresh new start - a new year full of possibility, adventures and good intentions, but am always a bit sad to hide the tinsel and sparkle of December away. let's not do that just yet!

The November Hip Kit, featuring fabulous product from Crate Paper, Jillibean  Soup, Lilybee Design, Pebbles and Studio Calico, was such a happy holiday kit! Here are the cards that I created using this jolly kit...

These cards were so fun to put together!
The ink on this last card is Mister Huey's silver. I totally love it. It is a bit hard to see on this card, but the metallic pigment in this ink is amazing! Just the right amount of sparkle. And I totally adore the Crate Paper Sleighride Chipboard Accents that can also be found in the November Embellishment Add-On kit. The November Hip Kit and Embellishment Add-On Kit are still available here.
Happy scrapping!
